Western Center for Agricultural Health and Safety (WCAHS) recruiting a graduate student for Winter 2017
The Western Center for Agricultural Health and Safety (WCAHS) is recruiting a graduate student for Winter Quarter 2017. WCAHS is a multidisciplinary research center that supports the prevention of illness and injury in Western agriculture. It is one of 10 agricultural health and safety centers in the US and is funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). It is believed that agricultural work is increasingly being conducted during the night to reduce heat exposure during the day.
The GSR will primarily conduct a literature review on the health consequences of night work, in agriculture and other industries, and will summarize historic and current levels of night work in agriculture. Other literature review and/or presentation preparation may be involved. The goal of this activity will be to inform future Center projects.
The position is for a full-time GSR for Winter 2017 only. California residents only. Interested students should submit a CV and cover letter to Amy Rose (email@example.com) by January 18.
